Manitoba
The Province of Manitoba has a rich history of agricultural success. The Manitoba province (Winnipeg) is wedged between Ontario to the east and Saskatchewan to the west. Foreign nationals can apply for PR in Canada through several provincial nominee programs. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) aims to bring in skilled individuals, workers, recent graduates, and agricultural entrepreneurs. Four different streams of the PNPs exist in Manitoba – the SWMS, SWOS, IES, and BIS.
Important Consideration on Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
To have “Manitoba Experience,” it is assumed that you have previously worked or studied in Manitoba temporarily. Your time spent in Manitoba serves as your “connection.” Still, you’ll also need to show that you’ve accrued enough points in the MPNP Self-assessment grid of language proficiency, employability, education, age, and flexibility to qualify. You can use the points to estimate how many points you will receive based on your degree of education and years of experience if you are a skilled worker applying with a link to Manitoba.
Education and Experience Criteria
You have previous full-time employment with a Manitoba-based company that spanned a minimum of six months. Provide a reference letter signed by your employer and printed on company letterhead and a copy of your work permit. The work permit must showcase your employment in Manitoba. You are a foreign national who has graduated from a post-secondary institution in Manitoba. This institution must be either publicly funded or privately accredited.
You Are Not Eligible If
People amid a federal appeal or removal procedure, including those seeking refuge, are ineligible. Are you currently working as a live-in caretaker in Canada? Non-Manitoban temporary foreign workers who are already employed and living elsewhere in Canada are not eligible to apply. Ineligible applicants include those married to Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Have you turned down the MPNP application within the past six months? Were the reasons for rejection of your application considered inadmissible? You cannot apply. Any person who has applied for PR to the federal government of Canada cannot use it.
